A lovely outing spot for all ages! Syringa Park delivers on the promise of a relaxed countryside day just outside Johannesburg. The large, tree-lined grounds feel very peaceful, perfect for a stroll or letting the kids run free. The play park is impressive and keeps the little ones entertained for hours. The food on offer is varied and tasty, and there are plenty of shaded spots to sit and enjoy your meal while watching the world go by. The vibe leans family-friendly and casual — you’ll want to bring comfortable clothes and make a day of it. One tip: if you’re heading in with kids, plan to stay a couple of hours so you can try both the play area and grab a meal. If you go on a quieter weekday it’ll feel even more relaxed. Overall: Highly recommend for a weekend outing with family or friends. 👍

Had a lovely day. Friendly and helpful staff. 3 year old was able to rent a rod and caught 2 fish. "Best day"

Very nice place for kids especially age 1-7 years to enjoy a day out. Place is well maintained and clean. 1 negative is that there is no toilets for men and women specifically. We all share the toilets available between the 2 genders.

The place is very clean. Bathroom stalls are huge, clean and can accommodate the whole family. Enough seating available for parents. Ample play areas for children of all ages. Friendly staff. CONS: Many potholes on the M5 road. Drive safely. The road leading up to the venue is a gravel road. Food stalls could be better. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Cash only. Private bookings for parties etc available.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that there is no ½ star option. The 2.5km green route at the top part either someone turned the arrows staff dont realise it takes you in a circle (loop) which is not the best if you are hiking with someone that cannot hike far in the first place. Otherwise, this stunning place has beautiful views and veey nice hiking trails. Loads of birds to see. Nice river side picnic spots. Please be careful when hiking after it rained as certain places get very slippery. I will definately visit them again.
