Such a lovely place to walk a dog (pleeeease remember to scoop any dog-poop!), enjoy a picnic, read a book, enjoy being outside in cared-for surroundings. Play/rest area is well kept. Some wear and tear on roundabout flooring. The children obviously love being there, and there's ample benches and soft grass to sit on. Visitors should please use the very available refuse bins, not discard their rubbish (and thank you to most folks who DO do this). Ground staff do a good job of cleaning up. Gardening though, needs some support as there's not much by way of interesting plantings. Do people steal the plants maybe? Even interesting rocks would be nice. The edges of one side of the park are adjacent to back garden walls and it appears those residents toss things over the walls into "bricked storm drain structures" or shrubbery. Those "storm drain" structures are full of papers, bottles, signage and various refuse. The rough grass area, presumably set aside for dog walkers, is most useful. The stumps left in place are great to rest at, but even there, a bench or two wouldn't go amiss. There is an always-open gate into the petrol station area at the high end of the park - if the gate is not locked at certain times, I fail to see the reason for the fence at all. IS it ever locked? At any time of day, a number of vagrants are enjoying the park - I'm not complaining - there's no threat, and why shouldn't people seek the solace of a park? As there are no toilets (again, no complaints, just an observation), are there areas under the edge-shrubbery which are used as such? Or do people in need go through the never-locked gate to use rhe loos at the petrol station... Parking along the verges must be such a trial for home owners on that side of the park. The kerbstones are damaged and on rainy days I imagine the dirt becomes unstable and slippery. Some gumpole fencing is damaged. Still, with it's little honesty library, (sometimes vandalised and discarded in the grounds), it's dog-watering stations, the childrens' road safety ride-walkng pathways and general welcoming aspect, this pretty little oasis should be given an extra Star for unexpected pop-up places of community restfulness. Well done Bordeaux-villagers!
Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! Just wow. The grass is green, the place is clean and the people are friendly and most importantly they have a mini library at the park. I mean, it doesn't get better than that. It's the best place to bring young children. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy! 😉
Been to this park a couple of times, good playground for the kids to enjoy with a variety of games to choose from for different age kids. If you want to sap some of their energy this is a good place to do it, was there for about 4 hours with my boy and he still didn't want to leave lol. Minus 1 star for the fact there are no toilets at the park so make sure your little ones do all their business beforehand other than that great outdoor area for kids.
Very neat and tidy and safe and great for the kids to play. Only issue is there are no restrooms and one does need this because the park is so nice so the kids stay and play for a long time.
