As Africa’s premier bird park, the Montecasino Bird Gardens offer a peaceful escape from the bustling city noise. The heart of the park is its massive walk-through aviary, home to over 60 global species of birds—such as Scarlet Ibises and Nicobar pigeons—flying freely around waterfalls and dense vegetation. Along the wooden boardwalk paths, visitors can also see mammals like lemurs, sloths, meerkats, and small antelope, as well as dedicated exhibits like the Frog Room and an extensive reptile collection. A major draw is the 30-minute educational "Flight of Fantasy" bird demonstration hosted at the open-air amphitheatre, alongside an outdoor jungle gym playground for children.
