As someone who has lived her whole life in Joburg, I was so unaware of the botanical gardens. It was such a calming and peaceful environment with lovely flowers and open space to have picnics and take the pups on a walk. Entrance was free, you only needed to sign in to get in.
One of a kind place to relax, stroll around, jog, play and have picnic. The scenery is just beautiful 😍. As a bonus it's also dog friendly place
Well maintained. Quite big. Peaceful and clean. Not many ppl. Saw ppl bring their lovely dogs. Friendly staffs.

What a nice park/garden in the middle of Johannesburg. Took the family for a stroll and ice-cream and the weather was great also. A nice garden with plenty of roses, a few interesting memorials/plaques a historical garden and then the dam itself. Plenty of space for picnics, play area for kids and quite a few ducks. Will definately go again
