The most wonderful spontaneous afternoon. We hadn’t planned on coming here but spotted on the way out of another commitment and decided to phone and see if they had space which they did, thankfully, because what a wonderful experience. Service was fantastic, the waitress took the initiative on me asking if we could order two small items for our baby for lunch and brought them so quickly. We ordered two portions of the lamb chops and a pizza. I wish we had taken photos of the food - as stunning as it was delicious. We can’t wait to come back.
26 July 2026 The road to Casalinga Restaurant is filled with potholes! You can't even drive on the other side of the road - really bad! That is the only negative comment I'll give. In 27 years, we've never had a meal at Casalinga. For our 34th wedding anniversary, we booked a table for Sunday lunch. Although there was a wedding expo on the lawn next to the restaurant, it didn't impact on the overall great vibe. Our table was next to a window that overlooked trees and playing area - windows so clean, we had to tap to see if it was real. Still water was served in a bottle 'LITA' (Liquid Is The Answer) - love it! Bread basket was delicious - different kinds of bread served with butter, crushed chillies, crushed garlic and Parmesan powder. Hubby ordered the Lamb shank with veg and Risotto rice - it was delicious!!!! A generous portion, the rice was creamy and lamb great! I ordered a starter of Oxtail spring rolls - crunchy and filled with meat, served with a dipping sauce. Also ordered the 4 Cheese Gnocchi starter - delicious!!!!! To end the meal, hubby had Vanilla ice cream with Bar One Sauce - yum. I ordered the small Pavlova filled with whipped cream, topped with fresh cut fruit and passion fruit sauce - cannot remember that I've ever had a dessert like this - it was SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not overly sweet! By the end of our meal, the whole restaurant was packed! 1 of the fireplaces was going, fantastic vibe. Great service from Kelvin.
Our experience at Casalinga was delightful in many ways. We loved the vast open space that allowed our dog to run around freely, as well as the charming tables set under the trees. The atmosphere was enhanced by a nice crowd of people enjoying their meals, and we found the staff to be friendly and accommodating. The food was exceptionally good, truly a highlight of our visit. Great ambiance with the live band that was playing. However, we did encounter a few issues that should be noted. The service was slower than expected, and we found ourselves needing to flag down our waiter, Mandla, for assistance each and every time. Please visit the tables more often. Additionally, it would be helpful if the staff took the initiative to address the presence of flies, as customers should not have to ask for the coffee burners that tends to distract these pesky insects. Despite these concerns, we highly recommend Casalinga for its overall charm and quality.
Hosted a Bridal Shower in the gardens at Casalinga. What a wonderful experience! Special thank you to Rausharn & Lee for all your arrangements; and to the whole team that assisted on the day. The setting was beautiful, the food was delicious, the servers were amazing. Cannot recommend Casalinga enough.
I had great experience here, the food and service was the startbof the show. Don't get me wrong, the location is simply stunning. Our service ambassador was a lady called Gigi and she was sinply amazing. Thinks ahead, quick to solve challenges and offer alternatives and a darling of professional niceness!
