It’s a short trail but the scenes are beautiful and I even saw a small buck. Perfect if you want to spend some time in nature without having to drive too far.
Great place for quick mini hike or just enjoying time outside with nature. The gates are always closed you need to come closer in order for the staff to assist you with getting in.
Small, quiet, and full of veld charm. Short trails wind through grassland and rocky patches, and you’ll often spot duiker or guinea fowl if you’re patient. We liked the feeling of being in nature while still basically in the suburbs. No café or frills, so bring water and a hat. It’s perfect for an hour’s leg-stretch, a mindful solo walk, or introducing kids to an easy nature trail.
It's a nice hiking spot but very short. It's good for those who just want a quick hike. We had to go twice because we felt it was too short. The entrance is free.
Safe for solo walking. 5 km and 11 km walking. 40 km cycling. Mostly flat with a few inclines. Picnic at the dam. Fourways Market for entertainment and food. Restaurant, cycle hiring, convenience store and ceramic painting
