Founded in 1934 and stationed at Len Rutter Park since 1986, the Rand Society of Model Engineers (RSME) is a charming old-school destination run by passionate railway hobbyists. Every Sunday (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM), the club welcomes families to ride their kilometer-long track, which features mini-bridges, trees, and a tunnel. The shaded park grounds are ideal for unpacking a picnic basket or lighting a fire at the available public braai stands. On the first Sunday of each month, they also open a small stationary engine museum, and they host popular seasonal night events like Halloween spooky-tunnel train runs.
