Excellent and fun activity to keep kids entertained! Worth it especially if they have previous experience with normal roller blades/skates. Don’t forget to wear jackets for the cold and take extra pants/clothes as u are likely to get wet when u fall on the ice if you’re not a pro. They have penguins at an extra cost to hold onto for little kids and people who are beginners, otherwise people just hold onto the side wall for balance to start off. They also offer classes if you’d like to learn ice skating.
The skates are sub par, of terrible quality and poorly serviced, and service was absolutely deplorable. The first pair of skates that were issued to me had a back panel that jutted out and was pushing into my Achilles, making skating quite unpleasant. After about 30 minutes of dealing with this I went back to ask if I could swap for a second pair. The second pair issued were the ones that are more than a decade old (I remember these from when I was a kid, I’m now 21 for context), I put them on and went back to the ice. One round was enough to notice that second pair had the same issue as the first, only worse because the skates are so old. I decided to go back and explain this to them, and ask if it were possible to try on a third pair. The man took them and got me a third, the same old blue ones. Instead of putting them on and leaving, I inspected them first. I explained nicely to the man that they had the exact same issue as the first two pairs, he rolled his eyes at me, shrugged his shoulders and told me they’re just old. I understand that it can be frustrating to help the same person out three times, but after all, I am paying for the experience and paying for the rental skates. It’s unacceptable to be treated as if I am inconveniencing them, when it is their job to help. It is also unacceptable to hand out skates and equipment that are not up to standard. Overall it was quite a terrible and disappointing experience to have to sit out for half of the time that I was there with my family, because the skates were too uncomfortable to use.
What a great experience⛸️… The skaters community are quite friendly and supportive for a first time ice skater the people around tend to give a balancing hand or a push when you lose your balance. Will definitely be going back to try to sharpen the skill ⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️⛸️❄️🧊
Even if you not into ice-skating, the venue affords a great spectator experience. And if you can't bear the cold interior of the rink, the glass walls just metres away from the ice, provides a great view of the ice rink and the skaters.
Really nice and fun place my kids had fun..
