An absolute hidden gem! Honeydew Mazes is unlike anything else around. We were looking for something mentally challenging but still active, and this was the perfect mix- it’s like doing an escape room while on a mini hike. The maze is genuinely challenging and 100% worth it. Do come prepared with energy, sunscreen, and a good team! The setup is creative and engaging, and the overall experience is really well done. The work crew were a delight and very professional. A few small improvements could make it even better- attach the pencils to the clipboards, slightly better garden maintenance, better posting of the riddles, and maybe some music or themed night experiences (a Halloween night maze would be incredible). That said, this is an amazing outing for families, friends, or even team events. Highly recommend. Fellow South Africans & tourists- this is definitely a place worth supporting.
They should not be open. No maze mazes, a flimsy excuse of "there has been too much rain this season", yet there is maze growing all over within the area. Only a really dangerously delapidated, neglected reed maze, that is quite literally falling apart. The maze walls were falling down from rot. The maze was overgrown with weeds and full of litter. And they still charged FULL price! R450 for a family of 4. I could not believe the gaul. However, my 8yr old son did have fun finding and deciphering the clues.
My kids and I had a lovely time in the maze trying to dind and figure out all the answers. There are plenty more little puzzles to do at the venue after the big maze. The place is nothing to call home about, nothing particularly fancy about it but the concept is quite nice and it is really a great outdoor activity for old and young .
Great experience to find all the clues and solving the puzzles. We as adults enjoyed it more than our toddler, who was still very much entertained by all the running around trying to find the last garden. A little run down maybe because of the weather and can be a little bit more well maintained, but overall it is a fun activity.
I enjoyed it😂 I loved the riddles and getting lost in the maze. At the end of the maze, you get a free ice lolly. There's a picnic area with benches if you want to eat and relax, and there are also different games you can play to keep busy. I highly recommend it. You can also check on their website for any events they might have and attend those. This place is also suitable for leadership, teambuilding, and school trips. Prices: Kids-R100 Adults-R150 I highly recommend it.
