The park is quiter than when I was there last time but still a nice outing. They were busy with maintenance in some areas of the park and some cages were empty but in general it was clean and animals looked well looked after. Plenty food and fresh water. The lions are so fat 😂 , which is understandable with the level of inactivity. But absolutely beautiful! The hyena cage is covered in plants so battled to see him eventhough he was jogging up and down the fence. Also thought the cage was a bit small for the four grown lions, but I am not a zoologist so what do I know 😊 Did the fun boat cruise with hubby and the kids and it was good just didn't appreciate the R&B blaring loudly, not my type of music and kind of took away from the experience. The biggest let down was the seal show, or should I say lack thereof. Absolutely loved the seal show when we were there the last time and it was disheartening getting there finding out there is no more shows. No announcement online or any explanation on why there is no more shows. There was a snake show which was informative but did miss the seal show. In general a well run, well maintained zoo, definitely worth a day outing.

My personal view, this is one of the best Zoo's in I've ever been to. When we can its one of our favorite places to go. Its about and hours drive for us but its worth it for the kids as there are so many animals to see. And they have an animal show at 12 pm ( i think its every day or some days ) the penguin one was fun. Recently it was a snake show. Not bad as well Restaurant inside the zoo with restrooms in certain spots. Boat rides on the dam and some times speed boat rides R175 per adult toddlers go in for free, fee for kids im not sure of

Pleasantly surprised by how big the park was. The animals looked well fed , the honey badger looked stressed , he kept running in circles the whole time , looked like he had zoochosis. The enclosures were clean , and the park had no litter laying around.

Went there for a day outing. I was very surprised. It is clean and animals well looked after. Stopped at restaurant on side for lunch. Not too bad but can improve on quality. It is worth it to go and visit.

This place was actually really worth seeing. They have lots of snakes and other animals(Chimps)....and they have giant tortoises. There is also a nice Cafe, and 2 shows and a boat cruise.
