Was looking forward to a great outing to Pretoria Zoo.....however was really disappointed with the upkeep of the parks and the animals to see. Definitely needs some attention to make it more attractive to visitors. I would hesitate to recommend it to someone.
I would loved to have seen this zoo in its Hay Day. I can imagine that it had a great vibe where things are working, and places are open. Sadly this was not the case when me and my family went there. A large portion of the enclosures were closed for construction, signs were missing for some enclosures, the river is polluted. There are some very beautiful animals at this zoo and I really hope that they are being looked after.
Wow... Absolutely loved it. The Tiger feeding is amazing - What a Majestic / Beautiful Animal. Love the animals, hate the cages, but the animals look well fed and well taken care of - However there's a lot of animals not there. More can be done about the cleanliness & cleaning the river of all the pollution. More food outlets are also required - I don't agree with the alcohol, More refreshment / food options required. Make your prices cheaper to attract more visitor's. Overall I'm amazed that we still have anything left for our kids to enjoy...
The entrance was a chaos, the control was poor. Please beef up the crew to avoid long queues especially waiting in a queue that the ticket holder is not supposed to stand in. The sound quality is also poor. Please add more speakers around the area.
The kids enjoyed the outing, but unfortunately the place has not been properly maintained. It seems as though they are busy with upgrades, many of the cages are empty.
